Emmys 2010 favourite looks

Truth be told, I wasn't super impressed with the dresses from this year's Emmys. I also realized that I don't watch much tv. If it wasn't for Glee, I wouldn't know any of this people, except maybe Lauren Graham from when I used to watch Gilmore Girls (ok, sometimes still do). Anyways, here are my favourite dresses and ladies: Emily Blunt, Jayma Mays, Lea Michele and Katrina Bowden. (Photos from

6 More Sleeps

So, 6 more sleeps until I leave for Europe. Sometimes I can't even comprehend the idea that I'll be going somewhere I've never been to go on adventures for almost a month. Anyway, here's what I wore yesterday when I went to visit my mom for the day (my dad was at a stag party for my cousin's fiance). We just hung out talking and eating tuna melts and playing Skip-Bo. Oh, and didn't the clouds look cool?

So it only makes sense that after the chilly summer we've had here, the weather finally decides to smarten up at the end of August, when my thoughts are itching to turn to fall. But, being the summer-lover that I am, I'm still enjoying the long-awaited warm weather. I wish I could outfits like these gorgeous Erin Fetherston Resort pieces. Stupid long pants requirement at work. And lack of spending money. On the bright side, 8 more sleeps until I leave for Europe! (Photos from

What I Want: Net-a-Porter Wishlist

Every once in a while I like to torture myself and check out the pretty things for sale on net-a-porter. If only I'd won Max Millions! This is what I's buy (though I'd probably go to Holt Renfrew instead so I could try things on. But a girl can dream. (Photos from

Missing the Weekend

I'm a bit bummed today because I have to work this weekend. While my bf and my friends will be having fun and probably staying up late, I have to be at work for 9 both Saturday and Sunday (and 8 on Monday). Oh well, I get Wednesday off and then next weekend will be the last weekend before I leave for my trip!!

Here's what I wore on Tuesday. Sorry for the gross changing room setting, but I was also taking some pictures of what I was trying on to see if I wanted to go back later and buy it (I didn't) and I figured why not take a snap of what I was actually wearing.

Back to my trip (I'm so excited), if anyone has been to (or lives in) England, Scotland, Italy, France or Germany and wants to recommend places to visit/check out and what is ok to skip, please leave a comment or email me!

Summer Fun

On Monday I had the day off, so I went to Heritage Park with my mom and three nieces. Let's just say, I had a blast! I love old things and I love spending time with my family, so overall it was a great day. The picture is of me and my youngest niece on one of the rides and the others are super cool other stuff. I took more, but these are my favourites.

Bad Blogging Habits

A big apology for being MIA for so long. It's no excuse, but I've been pretty distracted lately. But this time it's by something good! The bf and I are heading off to Europe for three and a half weeks this September. I'm so excited it's crazy! I've never been out of North America and I haven't been on a plane since I was 11 (that's 10 years). So hopefully you'll forgive me for being such a bad blogger. However, I've resolved to be active until I depart. I'll be gone for most of September, so don't expect much posting (though there's always a small chance).

Did I mention that we'll be backpacking? This is my new baby, a 50L expedition pack. Isn't it adorable?!

Anyways, I also went camping for August long weekend and here are some pictures from that trip. I hope you enjoy them (and yes, I love flowers). And sorry for the lack of fashion on this one. But mountain views, Indian Paintbrush and Dogwood flowers will have to suffice. Oh, and a squirrel eating a nut!
